Advice on resources

We offer an extensive range of Educational resources, Toys & Specialised Equipment
and an outreach and support service

Open for Fun and Learning! 🙂

Drop in to the Resource Centre some time and have a look around at all the fun toys, resources and equipment that are available for loan. Bring the kids and let them play on some of our equipment while you wander through the Centre to see what we have to offer. Our friendly staff will be happy to show you around. Give us a call on 07 4153 2909 and speak with our Education Advisor who can recommend resources to help support the developing skills of your child.

Looking for educational resources, disability specific equipment, toys, outdoor play, puzzles, games, bikes, sensory items or swings?

We have over 3,000 items available for loan. View our online toy catalogue or drop into our premises.

We have specialised resources to assist Teachers in implementing Individual Curriculum Plans and supporting students with a disability in the classroom.

Fun Toys

We have lots of FUN activities and toys to borrow for keeping the kids busy. The Toy Library is even good for Grandparents who borrow items to entertain the grandkids when they come to visit.

We have resources that support children with development in literacy, numeracy, fine motor, gross motor, speech and language, self-regulation and social and interpersonal skills.

Specialised Equipment

Our specialised equipment and resources support therapy and early intervention programs. We work closely with Therapists to help guide you in assisting your child’s development of fine motor, gross motor, social or self-help skills.

All volunteers and staff have their blue card and undergo stringent checks.

What others say…

Thank you for providing such a wonderful service at the Bundaberg toy library. The toys are always clean, well maintained and the range of toys is brilliant! Plenty of options for all children. I enjoy coming in each month with my daughter to choose 6 new toys and she certainly seems to delight in the new things to play with. This is a great way to give your child/children the chance to explore new toys without spending a fortune.

I think the toy library is great! The kids love coming in and choosing new toys. It's so good to be able to trial new toys and work out which ones the kids are going to really play with and stay interested in. It's great to be able to use the really big or seasonal toys and then take them back rather than having to store them.

I love being a member of the toy library because it gives me access to many children’s resources for a variety of ages, stages and interests for a fraction of the cost if I were buy these items myself. As a Family Day Care owner/ operator it’s a smart business choice as I know I can always find something to cater for the many ever changing interests of the children I care for, no matter their skill or development level. It’s also handy that I don’t have to store it all at home!

Being a member of the Toy Library allows me to test out different toys and communication aids and equipment before deciding if I want to buy them for my business. It also allows me to trial different equipment with clients to work out what works best for them before they buy something that isn't going to meet their needs. Membership to the toy library saves me lots of money! It is great to be able to have access to lots of different toys for different age groups.
Sarah Flourish Speech Pathology
We have been a member of the Bundaberg Toy Library for many years. This service enables our Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists to access a broader range of toys and equipment to service the needs of students in our schools-based therapy services provision. The Toy Library is often referred to parents of children with disabilities, as a cost-effective means of trying different therapy/assistive resources to meet the educational participation needs of their child.
